Layla Grace was a happy, healthy little girl ... always sweet as pie and a little cuddle monkey too. She was the inspiration for her mom, Shanna Marsh, who started a fun website called Baby Wears Prada. Shanna befriended and supported the handmade and the design communities through her site, blogging and promoting all things cute and cuddly for babies.

Ten months ago Shanna and Ryan Marsh were delivered... Read more
As I constantly try to upgrade my product photos, I am challenged as an amateur photographer! I have tried so many phases of backgrounds and staging for the jewelry product, it is not funny! With my point-and-shoot camera, I can only do so much, but believe that my photos have increased in value over the years. I have a Cannon A series camera that is the best value in the under $200 range. It has lots of manual... Read more
I’m always replacementing for inspiration … pillows, throws, drapery and bedding.

Stacks of decorating magazines are on my bed, under my chairs, any spare tabletop, everywhere! The most recent magazines get stuffed into my pocket pillows along with a pad of stickies and a highlighter. If that isn’t enough, I’m constantly sneaking to my laptop for a quick design blog fix.

Sifting through... Read more
As a knitter myself, I am always curious to see what other knitters and crocheters are up to.
There is so much talent out there, that I never stop being amazed at the creativity and the patience that knitters demonstrate.

Do a replacement on Google for "knitted creations" and you will find everything from knitted Ferrari, made by 22 year old art student from London, UK ( see video on YouTube ) to a knitted... Read more
Isn't that just like a woman? When times are tough, ladies buy earrings! At least I'm hopin '. Well, really, they are.

With the general economy less robust as it was several years ago, I made a decision to stock GalleriaLinda's iCraft shop with $12.99 USD earrings.

The reason for this business strategy is to let all ladies have the opportunity to own beautiful handmade earrings without a high price.... Read more
The iCraft advertising widget is a quick and easy way to spread the word about your iCraft store. One of the nice features of the iCraft widget is its subtle, uncluttered design. With a plain white background and the small iCraft text, your product photos have nothing to compete with for the viewer's attention.

Let’s create a widget and customize it for your store. To go to the iCraft widget builder... Read more
Now that we have customized the iCraft widget with your store’s name and products, let’s examine the other options you have for customizing the widget. For this tutorial, we will create a widget that will fit into the narrow sidebar of a blog. This is a very common place for advertising widgets. Because these sidebars are usually narrow in width, we will need to make some more changes to the parameter... Read more
Here is a my first painting of the year. It was commissioned by one of my collectors. Knowing that I love to draw/paint the human body and especially women. :)

So this will prove to be a fun project!!!

Here are some sneak peaks to it’s progress…

I sketched it out onto a 36″ x 36″ gallery wrapped canvas and painted in a contrasting base for the background.

I then added a light... Read more
About 2 years ago I got into a habit of repurposing old pieces of wood trim from homes and buildings. Well, I started making these funny little picture frames which not only provided me with a creative outlet, but also gave me a way to practice recycling in its true sense. Each one of those picture frames is handmade, and I go with the flow when it comes to design, etc. The frames are made from bits and pieces... Read more
Buying Valentine Day presents is challenging, regardless who you are buying them for. Though buying presents for men I find especially difficult. I think buying handmade items will make your present, at least, unique, but if your man is into gadgets and sports, he probably won’t appreciate staffed animals or handmade hearts, right? Even though that’s probably what you find cute and romantic. So what... Read more
