All mothers are working mothers. ~Author Unknown

When I was growing up there was a definite range of attitudes towards Mother’s Day. At one end of the continuum, the day was considered a sentimental bid from the card companies for our hard earned dollars. At the other end of the continuum Mom was served breakfast in bed, and swamped with cards and little items. Then Mom went back to being Mom, doing... Read more
Finally, we’re moving towards Spring , after a long brutal seemingly never-ending winter. That is to say, a real winter, like we haven’t had in a long time here in Southern Ontario. We’re in April already, and temperatures are still dipping below the freezing mark each night! Well never mind. It’s winter’s last gasp. No matter how hard it blusters and carries on and refuses to leave,... Read more
This reminds me of Play-doh, except incredibly advanced. Seems like it'd be fun to try, and even getting things "wrong" could work out. Plus, clearly creates brilliant ideas: who doesn't want to see Buddha on a treadmill?? (Must click!) Read more
These shoes, not boots, were made for walking, and that's just what they'll do - they'll walk you wherever you want to go thanks to GPS technology installed right in them! And they don't even look like space shoes, they're a pretty sleek, well-heeled leather pair.

- Lady Gaga's meat dress
- Anything resembling America's Next Top Model contests
- Models' food choices

Ever go to a craft fair and all the vendors greet you with smiles and all their products are nicely displayed - like they have been there forever? The atmosphere is laid-back and welcoming. Don't let any of that fool you . Join me now for the real happenings.

Winter in Saskatchewan is a wonderland.

These are trees in Estevan, Saskatchewan. After the recent ice storm, central and eastern Canada now knows how this feels. Toronto lost 20% of its canopy. The trees in Saskatchewan are used to it.

Here’s a view of a yard in Estevan. No, that is not the house. Or a barn. Silly you.

To the right of the storage shed you see a gazebo. Those are not real deer in the... Read more
