This past week in Sellers' Bootcamp, we talked a lot about Twitter. If you're selling online and not twittering, you're making a big mistake.

I joined Twitter around a year ago, using it to announce new products. I used it, maybe four times a month. Two days ago, I mentioned a necklace in one of my shops, and watched the number of hits grow, and grow, and grow! It was amazing!

So you don't know what to... Read more
In bootcamp day #4, we were asked to look at our "propositional benefit," or as our drill instructor, Christine, from PillowThrowDecor , explained, "why should I buy your necklace [or scarf, or soap, etc.] instead of the other guys?" Well, that got me thinking...

Everyone says their product are one-of-a-kind, and unique. But why are my journals and sketchbooks more unique than others?... Read more
It is so exciting to see someone like my GEEK guys as much as I do. Super Geek was featured today at MyShoppingConnection.com! It says ...

"Get your geek on with this decidedly nerdy pillow from PillowThrowDecor.

The Geek Pillow is part of the Luxe and Found Collection, which focuses on eco-chic pillow designs that utilize remnants, upcycled materials and other "throwaway" items.

I‘m starting bootcamp on Monday, at iCraftGifts.com , a Canadian-based online marketplace. It's an international site, which launched in November 2007. Anyone who creates their own arts and crafts can sell at iCraft. The site is different than Etsy - no commission on sales. And similar in that they use the same payment methods... basically PayPal, with checks and money orders allowed.

I plan to write a... Read more

On the other hand, we know that our package has to march through a threatening forest of dangers in order to reach the customer.

Due to volume, over-worked employees, and rush, shipping through the US shipping systems during the... Read more

The artwork of Roberta Murray’s shifts and changes before your very eyes. Each image’s narrative, seems to move sideways and flicker, then aligns to suit your personal gaze. Through the use of texture, form, and light, Roberta creates images with a rich tapestry-like depth. The resulting forms are images with a nostalgic, fairytale quality as though taken at a different time or in a different world.... Read more
The American Crafts Council is a national, non-profit educational organization founded in 1943 by crafts pioneer Aileen Osborn Webb. Webb had a vision of contributing to world peace by uniting the craftspeople of the world. What a great thought!

The mission of the Council is to promote understanding and appreciation of contemporary American craft. Their primary goal is to explore how to be the bridge, linking... Read more
I have always loved bright, shiny things and as a child collected all sorts of pretty stones, shells, and beach glass. I still have many of those cherished objects.

Beads have fascinated me for years and I have been embellishing clothing with them for a long time. I made my own wedding dress and beaded the bodice and sleeves in a vine and leaf pattern.

In my professional career as a dentist, I work with my... Read more
