Everyone Has Creative Expression

Posted by: CreativeXpression1

I have just read two encouraging blog posts which I hope all iCraft sellers will take a few minutes to read. “A New Chapter,” by Rachel W. of Shellys Handmade Creations and “Grand Opening – The Cotton Threadz” by Noneez of The Cotton Threadz are connected to one another with a common thread running throughout each post: Everyone Has Creative Expression.

These four words ran through my thoughts as I read each article, which inspired me to write this blog post, my first in many years. I’ve been selling online since 2009 and opened my CreativeXpression1 shop on Etsy in 2012. I’ve sold many shop listings worldwide through Etsy, but due to recent changes, I began to replacement out other online marketplaces. I did a lot of rereplacement on each site that I found. I kept returning to iCraft because of its pricing options and policies, support of its sellers (and buyers), promoting its sellers and prompt customer service. I'm excited to be here!

Back to the two inspiring blogs…

There are a few things that connect each of these to one another. Both authors share their crafting endeavors. The authors speak of the meticulousness required in creating the products in their stores. One author shares “the need to keep challenging myself,” while the other author speaks of the need for “taking good photos and writing good descriptions.”

Challenging ourselves to create products for our stores, taking good photos and writing good descriptions involve creative expression.Another word for creative expression is imagination. Before ICraft sellers even open their stores, sellers imagine:

  1. How they want to showcase their created products

  2. Whether or not they want to have a store banner (by CreativeXpression1);
  3. Determine if new photos are needed or if the ones they already have are sufficient (3-6 Month Onesie and Skirt Set by The Cotton Threadz); and4. Decide product and shipping cost as well as writing good descriptions

ICraft sellers’ creative expression continues as we set about to answer each of the above four areas. Excitement builds within our hearts as we imagine that someone other than family or friends could be interested in purchasing the products we have handmade. Just like Rachel, all iCraft sellers experienced “A New Chapter” opening in their lives that has in turn led to a “Grand Opening” for each of us, just as it did for Noneez.

Thank you, Rachel and Noneez, for writing your encouraging and inspiring articles!
