Grand Opening - The Cotton Threadz
I am excited to become a part of the iCraft community and share my passion with other fellow crafters. This week I finally had a few items ready to post for my Grand Opening. Check it out - The Cotton Threadz
As you all know, taking good photos and writing good descriptions takes time, and I do best when I know I am not going to be interrupted.
I have a very hectic life and busy schedule so it is not always easy for me to find time to do what I love the most, and that is sewing. I take care of my two elderly parents, work a fulltime job and have my own home and yard to tend too as well. But anytime I have a little time to set down and I sew I do my best to fit it in.
I had an ETSY store for two years and just could never get my foot in the door with all the competition and became very discouraged and frustrated. I was advertising on Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram, and nothing seemed to work. But I decided I was not going to give up. I started searching for other platforms to sell handmade products and came across iCraft, and decided to give it a try and see where this new venture may lead.
I already like how easy it is to list an item, how they don't just promote the shops with the most sales or most listings, but have created an equal environment to support all their artisans. And that is how it should be, otherwise new crafters never get their products out there and get their business off the ground.
Blogging is new to me, so I have a lot to learn in this area, and this is my first attempt, hopefully I will get better with time.
I am looking forward to meeting new crafters, getting ideas, feedback and seeing all the wonderful things everyone creates.
Until Next Time....
