Handmade Store: David ShawSmith

I've always had an immense passion for crafts. Being born in Dublin, Ireland in the 40s, I got a chance to see true craftsmanship in everything that was made everyday. In the 70s and 80s, I got the chance to travel around Ireland with my wife, Sally, making documentaries on the final years of traditional rural and urban life in Ireland for RTE. We made some amazing films that allowed us to tell stories about real people as well as their handmade crafts.

We are now planning an audiovisual Irish heritage archive, and have been given permission by RTE to sell our films internationally.

Though we've been craft people all our lives, we are still new to the e-commerce community. We love to hear from people, who share our passion for handmade crafts, so please feel free to contact us with any comments, suggestions, or questions. Thanks very much for visiting our shop.
