Amazing Landscape Photography
|
Recently I spent a few days in San Francisco. Walking through the Fisherman's Wharf, I stumbled upon an Art Gallery featuring work of Rodney Lough Jr, an award-winning landscape photographer.
I don't think I've been inspired by someone's work so much in a long time, as much as I was walking through the gallery.
All Rodney's photographs have incredible vibrant colors that just illuminate the room. Apparantly, he is a purist who is not using color filters or darkroom deception.
Those photographs look amazing even at a low light. Someone turned light down in one of the rooms in a gallery, but those bright reds & yellows were still very much visible and illuminating the room, like a candle light.
"The world is a remarkable place full of beauty and splendor," - Rodney exclaims. "To witness the simple grandeur of creation, the miracle of nature, is perhaps all that we need. The peace received while viewing a leaf turned color at the height of fall is immense and divine."
Have you been inspired by anyone's work recently? I'd love to hear your stories.
