Recent Site Updates

Surprised nobody has commented on the recent site updates yet. Oh well…  Sad

Anyway, in case you haven’t noticed yet, we’ve added Comments feature on all product pages (below product image and “Other Options”), and additional Twitter widget to let you see how many re-twits your product gets. We are also working on adding a widget in the Community section that will pull all Product Comments, as they are being submitted by site users. This is just another way to promote wonderful products we have on iCraft in other areas of the site.

Speaking of Twitter, those who provided their Twitter ID, as a part of their Profile, will be asked soon to allow iCraft to submit their product updates to their Twitter Account. You’d be asked to login into Twitter from the link provided by iCraft and allow us to push your product updates and store announcements directly into your Twitter account. More information on this will be provided soon.

We are also showing now which Creators are currently Online (logged-in on iCraft) by adding small image beside your Creator Exhibit name. This is just the first step toward Live Chat feature that we are working on. Later we hope you will be able to interact with the customers who are looking at your products and answer their questions in real time. For now, users can send you an email when they see that you are currently Online.

We are also going to show a separate list of All Creators who are currently Online to make it easier for buyers to interact with those Creators, who are present at the time when they are browsing the site.

Another change that is coming – a Blog.
We are going to turn all articles in the Community section into a blog format, hand-pick a few experienced bloggers who could either write blog posts on iCraft or simply provide a feed from their blog that we could incorporate into our Blog section. This will ensure we are constantly displaying fresh content and will give Community writers even more exposure.
Eventually, we hope more and more Creators will blog on iCraft. We are just going to test it out at first with a few people, so feel free to list your blog links below and let us know if you’d like to participate.

More to come soon! Tongue

Wow!  You guys have been hard at work making changes!

I love the comments feature!  I wasn't expecting to, but I do.  I was notified a few times last week that I had product comments and I went to check them out.  They just made my day!  It was so nice to see positive comments about my items from site users.  And that fact that we have the ability to "hide" comments if we choose to, means that we don't have to worry about someone with a mean streak posting nasty comments in our shops.

I noticed the Twitter widget, but I didn't realize it was new.  Great idea!

I also like seeing which creators are on-line.  Eventually having the chat feature could be really wonderful for buyers.  I know that if when I am shopping, if I had a question and could see the creator was on-line, I would be more likely to ask the question rather than just pass by the product and find another one that fit the bill.

Thanks for all the updates.  You guys keep making this site better and better!

New updates are like unwrapping surprise gifts!

Thanks for the fun and for tools that should really add to the whole buyer/seller experience! As a new iCrafter, I am so impressed with how iCraft keeps evolving!

Looking forward to the Blogs, which should really help to keep information flowing and current!

Thanks everyone!

I'm really impressed with iCraft, and the way Admin is tuned into the Creators.

I've been replacementing for another venue to sell my art online, and I love the look and feel of iCraft.  The fact that it's Canadian is another winner for me.

Once the kids are back in School, I'll be opening up a shop.

In the "view all products" section of "my account", can you add a # of comments statistic?

*Comments feature on all product pages
I love this and actually GOT a comment - lol!

*Twitter ID, as a part of their Profile, will be asked soon to allow iCraft to submit their product updates to their Twitter Account.
Will creators have the option to say how many tweets per hour or a time element? I would love this but would not want to bombard my followers with link after link after link if I am listing, cloning quite a few. Otherwise, this is a NEAT idea!

*We are also showing now which Creators are currently Online This is just the first step toward Live Chat feature that we are working on.
The online button is great and I think it will enhance customer confidence.

*Another change that is coming – a Blog.
    Excellent. This is great!

I always check the site updates thread because it is always so fun to see what you all are up to!

Thanks Admin for adding number of comments in our View shop items page.  Very useful to have it all in one place like that.

Cheesy Thanks Administration for all the updates!  I am still new at icraft and finally getting around to browsing products, community and selling.  I really love this site for selling my products - even though I am USA.

Thanks for all the updates! I would like to know how do you reply to a comment that has been made on one of your products? Is there such a thing to be able to reply? Thank you.

There is a link to add a Comment on every product page.
So login first, then click on the comment link. You should see a text field on the next page where you could enter your comment.

Not sure if this question was asked:
Can anyone leave a comment or do they have to become a member first to do so?

Hi janescrafts,

Anybody can comment on the blogs and products.
We don't require people to become members in order to leave a comment. Thanks!

Surprised nobody has commented on the recent site updates yet. Oh well…  Sad

Anyway, in case you haven’t noticed yet, we’ve added Comments feature on all product pages (below product image and “Other Options”),

Can't find the Comments feature! I would love to comment on other sellers products.
