I am currently looking for someone in Canada, preferably even local, to build a relationship with as a supplier for the yarn I use in my crocheted items. I can't use pure wool (I'm allergic) but it must be natural fibers. I'm tired of working with acrylic!

If you or someone you know might be interested, please, contact me!

Hi there!! Sorry about that!! I didn't mean to do that. I still can't believe there is not one shop/person posting :O( Oh well, at least this will boost it up again.

Cheers,

Here is a link to a Canadian distributor if you are still interested. A friend of mine uses them all the time. I think that you need to have a GST number and company name. Heres the link...

They carry so many choices. Hope that helps you out.

try http://yummyyarn.etsy.com - i think i read in her profile that she works with alpaca

there's also a local supplier called Shades of Narnia who produces alpaca roving and might also spin it

Hi,
What kind of yarn are you looking for?

I have ordered from http://www.herrschners.ca/ and their discount store http://yarnsale.herrschners.ca/  I believe they actually have a store front in Kitchener. They can be very reasonable especially when they have yarn on sale! They can take awhile to arrive though.

I also just bought some great cotton from:
http://www.camillavalleyfarm.com/
I bought their worsted weight, but it's a not as thick as the worsted I need. A bit thinner. Gorgeous colours though.

Good luck. I hope this helps.

I too, am allergic to wool.
I ran accross this site www.elann.com but haven't ordered from them yet.  Seems like good pricing and thier warehouse is on the West Coast.
