The Heartbreaking Story of Layla Grace Marsh...
She will always be a reminder for us to hug our kids whenever we get the chance. Yesterday, March 9 2010, Layla Grace aged 2, passed away from
Neuroblastoma Cancer.
In my last
Layla Grace post, I wrote about our efforts to raise money to help the Marsh family with the $100,000 medical bills that their health insurance did not cover.
My personal commitment to the Layla Grace Fund is to encourage everyone to
contribute $4, $14 or any other amount that has a four in it. Also, I aim to raise $1000 through the sale of “Remember Layla Grace Pillows”, as you can see pictured on the side. More are available at
PillowThrowDecor Exhibit.
This morning a mother in Colorado purchased one of the Layla pillows and wrote, “…Could you please add Layla Grace's name to this with the cancer ribbon. I want to think of her every time I see this pillow so it can remind me never, ever to take a moment for granted with my two girls (ages 14 months and 4 years). Thank you so much for contributing to her cause”…
If Layla’s story has touched your heart you can contribute to the fund directly or purchase a pillow and 100% of the proceeds will be directed to the fund through Paypal. I will send you the donation confirmation, so that you know that you have helped this family directly.
All the money in the world does not relieve them of the heartbreaking pain and anguish of their loss but it does help relieve them of some of the financial burden they’ll face for years to come.
I would love to include you in giveaways from a kind and caring designer, that I am lucky to have partnered with The Decorating Diva LLC. All you have to do is follow @PayitFOURward on Twitter.
Also I am offering 3 huge gift certificates for $100, $60, and $40. All it takes is to leave a comment here or on my previous post and share with us how Layla Grace has touched your life today.
Hugs,
Christine
