Handmade Store: Weather Watch Farm Textiles

I love interior design and have decorated my homes in both La Jolla California and Litchfield Connecfticut. About 10 years ago,I began designing and creating modern quilts. I live on a farm in Litchfield Connecticut with a large quilting studio. I taught myself how to quilt with books and youtube videos. I use both patterns from quilting magazines and design my own quilt patterns. I love fabrics and have over 300 different fabrics. I use only 100% cotton fabrics. Many of my quilts are made from Lotta Jansdottir or Mona Luna organic fabrics. I have made baby quilts for all 8 of my grandchildren and the children of other friends. I also make quilts for twin, full and queen size beds. Some of my quilts are hanging as pieces of art in customers' homes. I do all of my piecing on a machine. My quilts are then either hand quilted or free motion quilted. All of the bindings are hand sewn. The back of all of my quilts have an interesting design as well. I also make stuffed animals (bears or monkeys) to match my quilts!

I also design and make pillows and pillow covers, napkins and place mats. All are unique designs. Some of my linen pillows have hand embroidery.
