About Our Creative Side

A  lot of people have asked me how I got started designing  jewelry.  I have always had a need to create beautiful things.  I would draw, sculpt and create all the time.

When I traveled for business, I would always stop at crafts stores to buy beads and things that could be incorporated into necklaces, bracelets and earrings.  Some I made into jewelry for myself and friends.  The rest I put into boxes at the back of my closet.
 
About a year ago, I was on my way to work.  It was a cold, snowy day.  I had been stuck in traffic for over an hour due to an accident. As I watched the snow swirling around my car,  I thought to myself, this is no way to live! So I went to my boss and quit that very day.  He talked me into working three more months.  During that three months I had time to reflect on how I was going to support myself after I left the company.
 
I remembered the boxes of beads that I had stored in the back of my closet so I dragged them out.  I found I had two banker boxes overflowing with beads.  I decided to start designing jewelry and selling it at crafts shows and on consignment.
 
So that is how OUR CREATIVE SIDE began.
