The English style Ocarina is one of the most commonly made styles, as it can easily play the major and minor scales. Individually handcrafted on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, each Island Ocarina is unique. Much time and precision are used in the creation process to ensure the quality of each piece, which are finely tuned with a digital tuner. Each instrument is signed. Most of the tools used to make the ocarinas are handmade, as well as the clay stamps used on the mouthpieces.

Anyone can learn to play the ocarina. Each one comes with an owner's guide which contains playing instructions. Many can be worn as pendants to prevent them from dropping.
