This sturdy, yet light tag will be very easy for your man to wear...it's a nice size and weight and is distressed for a nice rustic appearance.
The 18 or 20 inch black rubber cording with sterling silver clasp won't make marks on his clothing when he's active, the way that leather sometimes can. It's a very supple rubber cording and looks very much like leather.
Tag size is 3/4 inches by 1 1/8 inches (approximately 19mm x 28.5mm). I hand fabricated this tag from sterling silver sheet and soldered a jumpring at the top that is large enough that it can be transferred to a chain or any other neckwear you choose. The tag itself has been finished to make it look like a worn piece of birch bark, with little "splits" at the edges and rough spots throughout. It's then oxidized and brushed to a satin finish to bring out those rugged, manly attributes.
You can choose up to 85 characters (including spaces and punctuation) to be inscribed onto your tag, in rows of approximately 12 characters each. If you aren't sure if your desired words will fit, send me a message and I'll plot it out and let you know how we can fit it! If you have a shorter quote and you want the tag to be smaller, I can do that too - just message me and we'll work together to make this a very special piece for your man!
