I have been linking to directories galore!!! Thought I would just get this done because linking is so important, expecially if can link back. It increases page rank.

Many of us cannot link back if our venue shop IS our web site (we have no way to add links to our shop page), but if you have your own web site or blog, please take advantage of linking back to help your own web presence. At the very least, add your shop page to link directories that do not require link-backs.

The link direcory list in the Marketing Forum has been updated so everyone mosey on down to the marketing forum and start linking.  Cheesy

Does it work as a linkback if we have the "link" in the forum?... that is assuming that that is acceptable to that other site?

Anywhere you have recipricol links is good.

Quality of links are very important though. Although it is great to exchange links with everyone's blogs, unless the blogs have good page rank, they will not help you with page rank very much, but is valuable for grabbing other viewers.

I understood Admin to say that yes, links in this forum are crawled by the replacement engines and I would think this would have a good page rank too (but don't know).

Therefore, placing a link for icraft on your web site or blog is good, then come over here and sign your posts with your website and/or blog links.

This is my understanding of the topic!

Did a couple of things today (although not exactly today's assignment).

Listed a new necklace.

Tweeted about 3 bootcamper's items (but didn't use hashtags).  The three shops were:
Canadian Rockies
naturliche
neat treats

Didn't tweet my own item.  I want to get comfortable with twitter and use it socially, not just be a spammer.  (I hate spam and don't want to contribute to it).

I started following new people yesterday, including my local paper.  Love that!  What a great and easy way to get the headlines and find articles I want to read!  If nothing else, I may keep using twitter for that!

I'm out of time, so will read article tomorrow...

Okay, strange, but good...

The necklace I just posted went from 0 to 28 views in about 5 minutes...  And I didn't put it on twitter.  My views don't usually climb that quickly.  Do you think we have a view fairy here (like etsy once had)?

Joined indiepublic, did some tweeting. Finally found the RT button (been looking for days!). Need to reread the hashtag article-- something I'm still missing....

Baby's up... gotta go:)

LOL... Yes we do have a view fairy!
Icraft automatically puts new listings on Twitter for us.

Hopefully you will feel comfortable tweeting about your new item soon.

I still am learning it too but I do know that it takes some practice writing compelling headlines.

Cheers
