I never got on board with GA, and I can't seem to figure it out on my own... Wasn't sure where to post this Q?

There seem to be 3 tracking codes: New, Legacy, and a really long weird one.

In the instructions it says to copy it (wherever It is!) into every web page I want to track.

2 Qs: Does that mean copy it into my shop (somewhere...) or into every place it's possible to click within my shop?
How and where do I copy it?

As you can see I'm completely at sea here! When I try to do stuff like this, I just eat my chocolate faster and faster   (Help, before I run out!)

Zs, the instructions say to skip the Tracking code page.  When you get to that page, just scroll down to the botton and click on finish.  The next page should give you a Profile ID.  It will look something like this UA-2622771-9.   Write down this code.  That is the code that you will enter into the box on this page
https://icraftgifts.com/member_google_analytics.php

You will your first info from GA tomorrow (it shows you info up to the day before the current date, unless you change the calendar, but don't worry about trying to do that right now.)

Good luck!  If you still have trouble, ask more questions.  Several of us here have GA accounts from other selling sites, so we should be able to help.

Once you get GA setup, it will track per day, so you won't be able to see today's traffic until tomorrow, and so on.

You will JUST LOVE it! It is SO interesting to see where your traffic is coming from and what key words are used.

Yes, the beginning part I did weeks ago, no problem. Got the code, wrote it down, and then lost it.

So now I have a message in my inbox from GA, welcoming me, and telling me to install my code.

That's what I can't seem to do...

Something about inserting it (still need "it" narrowed down from 3 codes to 1) before the <body> or some such thing... I don't get it!

Zs, as you have already created the code, can you log into your google account, and select analytics?  If so, the code should show up next to your shop URL...

Go get the code, then insert it in the box on the page from the link I posted earlier.

Cheesy

You'll love GA!  You just need to give it a bit of time so that you get results.  It's really helpful.
