Hello everyone!

By now, you've probably gone through the site and seen a variety of fantastic creations made by very talented individuals. You're probably wishing there was a way to keep track of your favorite finds. Well, we've got a solution coming soon!

Scheduled to launch on/around March 25th is our "Wish List". With this feature, you'll be able to save all your incredible iCraftGifts.com finds onto a personalized list, and be able to share your favorite pieces with friends and family. You will also be able to bookmark your favorite stores.

We're looking to our community to help us decide on a name for this feature. Please review the list below, and pick a favourite - or suggest your own.

Possible Feature Name:
Wish List (the current name)
Hot List
My Favorites
My Bookmarks
iHeart List
Fabulous Finds
Admired List
Best-Loved List

We're toying with the idea of having the "Wish List" live inside your account profile. Currently, it lives independent of a user account. Visitors need to supply only their regular email address to add items to their list, review their finds, or send their favourite items to family and friends. If the "Wish List" lived within a user account, you could keep track of it along with all your other account information. Which would you prefer?

Let us know which name and option (account / no-account) you prefer by replying to this post, or sending a message to Feedback@iCraftGifts.com - as always, we sincerely appreciate your feedback!

I like wish list and I like the idea of it being linked to my account.

I like wish list too.

Will the creators have anyway of knowing if they have been placed on a wishlist?

I like this idea.  I would like to be able to see if any of my items are on any wish lists.

Looks like most people like the name "Wish List".

The only thing is that it sounds ok when you add products to "Wish List", but what about stores? "Add Creator to Wish List" doesn't sound quite right. Hmm... :?

You can add anything to "Favorites", so maybe "My Favorites" is a better choice for that reason? or my "Hot List"? Any thoughts on that?

I actually prefer My Favorites because Wish List pretty much says I want that item - probably in the future.  I often admire someone's work of art but don't necessarily want to buy it but would like it on a list linked to my account so I can follow that person's listings or just send a compliment their way.

Good point BJ. I also think "My Favorites" is a better choice.

I also think My Favorites is a good name, for the reasons already stated.  My Hot List is also a good name.

I also prefer "My Favorites" - and I would definitely want this linked to my iCraft account.

I also wanted to say that I really appreciate how you take the time to ask us for our feedback before implementing something. This means a lot to me and makes me feel that you care about the users (creators and buyers alike).

Warm regards from Calgary  Smiley

I'm not sure if this is possible, but it would be nice if the buyers had an option on their "wish list" to make it public or private.  That way, buyers could use the wishlist as a sort of gift registry, if they want to.

Hey everyone - Thanks for the great question. We don't think we should display who likes your items. It should be private, so situations like what recently happened on Facebook (a young lady got a notification from Facebook that her boyfriend was looking for an engagement ring before he proposed to her) won’t get anyone into trouble.

We anticipate that many shoppers on the site will be searching for gifts for loved ones. That is the sort of information they might want to keep private, otherwise you risk people finding out about the surprise. However, we are planning to let Creators see the number of times in which their item(s) are added to people’s Favorites or when their entire Creator Exhibit is added as a Favorite. This keeps the shopper’s information anonymous, but still allows Creators to gauge how popular they are on the site.

We have decided to name the feature "My Favorites" due to overwhelming preference from the community members, and it will ultimately live within a user's Account.  We're developing a way for users to send their list of Select Favorites to friends / family as a kind of gift registry.  The recipients would be able to see the partial list without needing to login, and not have access to the rest of the items in the shopper's Favorites list. We'll keep everyone posted on its development.
