We've decided to consolidate many ideas from the Message Board about things you can do to promote your iCraftGifts.com Creator Exhibit into one post.
Sorry for repeating some of the things, but we have to keep repeating the important messages for our new members and for those that keep ignoring them. Someone said that "There is no Shortcut to Success". Unfortunately, that applies to web traffic too.
We'll be adding more to this list. Please feel free to share your ideas as well. Hope it was helpful for some of you. Cheers!
1. Add/Update Your Products RegularlySearch engines love fresh content. Regularly updated content will bring replacement engine spiders back to your page more often and will help you maintain high rankings.
Besides being great for replacement engines, fresh content is great for people. We have a date stamp now on your Creator Exhibits, so buyers can see when last time you've updated your store. The more active you are in your Exhibit, the more you will encourage confidence from buyers who will keep coming back to find out what is new!
2. Post Quality Photos!Great photos of your products will not only attract more buyers to your Exhibit, they are also more likely to be chosen by us to use for advertising on Facebook, other sites, and in our "Featured Products" on the Homepage. Great photos will give you more exposure! To learn more about how to take great photographs of your products, read our Photo Tips article here:
https://icraftgifts.com/blog/are-celebrities-really-fashion-designers-52.phpBy the way, we are constantly reviewing product images and putting products on hold that have blurred poor qualify photos.
3. Spread the Word!Tell friends, family, acquaintances, and everyone you know about your iCraft Creator Exhibit! Visit different message boards, blogs, and social networking sites. When posting a message on those sites, always provide a link to your Creator Exhibit. Inbound Links to your webpage are one of the most important factors in site ranking. If you would like to increase your replacement engine rankings than create as many inbound links as you can to your own Creator Exhibit. However, be sure they are quality inbound links that are relative to your craft. Having lots of inbound links, especially from highly ranked sites, is the best way to improve replacement engine rankings.
Also, don’t forget to place a link to your Creator Exhibit on your own website or a blog. To help, we have pre-made banners that you can place on your site! Check them out here:
