Hi iCrafters!

Does anyone have any upcoming arts & crafts shows in their neighbourhood?

Let us know here & talk about the pros and cons of different arts shows!  We'd love to hear more about your local arts scenes.

We'd also like to help promote your upcoming events, so feel free to private message me if you have a special event coming up soon!

Thanks & happy iCrafting!

Are there some sites out there that post  craft fairs and shows for a province state or city.

Any ideas out there?

Thanks Christine

Here is a website listing some Ontario shows this year:

And another one listing shows in various Canadian provinces and U.S. states:

Well according to that site there are no arts and crafts sales/shows in Saskatchewan at all, and yet here is my schedule:

Lac Pellietier craft sale (very small at a local camp ground, but for a $10 fee worth it)
Lac Pellietier
July 18th

Cream of the crop
Regina
Oct 2,3, and 4
Conexus  Arts Center

Museum Christmas Craft fair
Oct 16 and 17
Saskatoon, Western Development Museum

Whistlestop
Oct 23 and 24
Moose Jaw, Exhibition Convention center

November

Eastend, Christmas Craft Sale ( small, my home town and VERY worth my time $ wise)
Nov 21, Memorial hall

and one outta province in Alberta
Christmas craft Sale, Cypress Center
Medicine Hat, Alb
Nov 13/14

and one so far only 1 in Dec

Sundog Arts Soiciety arts and Crafts fair
Dec 4,5,and 6
saskatoon, Credit Union Center

Most of them are pretty large, juryied in shows, so I am crossing fingers that it all works out this year, with a lot more gas and room fees to think about.

Hi Christine,

Funny you should ask "if there some sites out there that post craft fairs and shows for a province state or city". Our own Events Calendar https://icraftgifts.com/events/ has all the functionality to do just that.

Events Calendar is available to all registered Creators and allows them to post any Arts & Crafts related Events. It's a great tool for Creators to use for promoting their own events and to submit other events and trade shows in their local area, that they know about.

Unfortunately, it has not been used as much yet.

We have a few ideas that might help us to make it alive:

1. Create a Twitter group and start pulling all new Events into that Twitter Account.
2. Add Commenting feature, so others could ask people about their Events and comment on them.
3. Allow Creators to associate their Creator Exhibit with their Events.
So it could read at the bottom of their Exhibit page "I am attending such and such Event" with the link to the Event details page.

What do you think? Your thoughts and feedback are very welcome!

I would definitely like the ability to add a link from my shop to events I am associated with.  Sounds like a great idea.
