Hi John, thanks for joining!

Your bracelets are very cool + funky.. I think my sister would like them a lot, I'm going to get her to check them out.

How did you get started making them?

Hi Lyra,
Thanks for the compliment and thanks for offering to tell your sister about my bracelets.
"HOW DID I GET STARTED?"
Well, to tell you the truth, I really don't know exactly.  About 5 or 6 years ago I started making chainmaille bracelets from copper, stainless steel and aluminium and giving them to friends. Then I made a few sterling silver bracelets and earrings by request from a few people in the chainmaille style.  Basically, I'm the type of guy who sees something and says" I can make that"...LOL  What's funny though is, I'm a carpenter and concrete worker, a far cry from someone's typical view of a jewelry maker.....but don't tell anyone LOL.  I made a few wooden rings though a while ago and may post them here for sale soon.  So, thats basically my story in a nut shell.  Oh, I'm 35 years old, just incase anyones wondering.

That's awesome, I love the DIY attitude... haha, unfortunately there are very few things I can say that about, but I've done it before with some simple bead bracelets and things... and it's extra satisfying when you walk into a store and tell your friend, "I could make that!" and they say "yeah right" haha, or "you couuuld but you won't"

haha.. apparently I'm motivated by revenge?

Thanks for sharing your background though, that's very cool. Do you do woodworking pieces as well?
