Hello!

I'm Sarah of thebeadedlily. I do bead and wire jewelry and found iCraft through TalantDataBase.
It looks like a great site.
I've just uploaded three pieces for tonight. Will do more tomorrow. Right now, they're all from my series. Hopefully I'll get some OOAK's up soon.

Hi Sarah, thanks for joining!

Your pieces look lovely... and you said you have jewelry from all over the world-- did you travel to all those places?? I'm so jealous!  Any favourites?

I wish!
No, I've travelled some. The Caribbean, Mexico, Canada, Egypt and brief visits to parts of Europe. But my secret is that all of my friends know I'm a jewelry fiend. So when they go a-roving, guess what they bring back for me!

My favorite silver is from Egypt and my favorite gold is from India, enamelled. My favorite beads are things I've made, because I can combine my favorites from many lands!

Yes, travelling definitely opens up the opportunity for the new finds. Having friends who travel helps too. Smiley
I enjoy seeing creations where you can see a mix of cultures.
Looking forward to more of your original creations, Sarah!

Wow, I would love to go to Egypt...

Mexico too actually.  It is always inspiring to see new materials and for me, I'm always attacted to new colour schemes or combinations... things seem so frequently monotone or something in N.America... maybe that's just my perception of it... I just find that in the warmer climates they are more exuberant about colour usage... it's nice Smiley
