Congrats!
I watched a TedTalk on learning. Our brain is a muscle and learning is what exercises it - not recall, like word puzzles. Learning NEW things. This creates NEW connections in our brains. So, the more you learn, the more you combat the possibility of dementia and Alzheimer's. Those conditions involve a break down in our brains' connections that make you unable to retrieve information. But, the more your learn new things, the more connections you build, so if one breaks down, there's a detour route ready to take to you the information you're trying to reach!
Learning is actually a big part of my career. I am soooo thankful for that! I truly believe creativity and crafting is a fantastic learning platform for our brains too.
P.S. I also read that music is also a powerful brain stimulator. Learning to play an instrument was many more times effective at stimulation than just listening too.
