Some of my jewelry is made with the Swarvoski Crystals, plain and with the AB. If anyone can let me know if my prices are too high I'd appreciate it help.  Thanks

Hi,
Actually I think your prices might be too low.  Your price of $3.19 for this bracelet:
https://icraftgifts.com/handmade/42740/orange-pink-and-yellow-friendship-bracelet.php

is definitely too low, I think anyway.  The pattern looks pretty intricate and even if it didn’t take you very long to complete, it looks like it would!

You should look around iCraft to see other shops selling items similar to yours, so you can get a better idea of prices, shipping costs, and listing content.  I would suggest brighter photos, and more close-up shots.

Also, I'd consider adding more description in your listings.  For instance, with the above bracelet, the description is: “This is a knotted friendship bracelet”.
You have indicated the material as waxed cord at the bottom of the page, but it would also be more visible in the main description section.  Is it waterproof?  Can I custom order different colours? What other colours are available?  What is the width?  These are just some questions your potential customers will ask themselves, and unfortunately if the answers are not provided for them where they can see it, they move on.

You should consider reviewing the Seller’s Bootcamp forum, for tips on increasing sales and optimizing your shop, https://icraftgifts.com/sellers_bootcamp.php

Hope this helps, somewhat.

I'd agree with Bibi, having seen your earrings in person now. I was surprised that the earrings I've got were priced only at $6.00. You could safely double the price and it wouldn't look too high. Good luck!

Thank you both. I did up the price on my Swavorski beads. and a few others. I also added some more descriptions to some, and compacted my site some. I'm always afraid I'm asking way too much as I want to sell and have no idea what my work is worth. my new rose earrings and pendant I was told that I should only ask $7 foro the earrings and $12 for the pendant. I think that is waaay too low.   I went into a Swarvoski bead store and they have jewelry with only 5 beads on it and were asking over $100 for them.  This is where I get myself very confused.

Hi,

I struggle with pricing too, I think it's natural for people to under-value themselves and their work.

If YOU think pricing your items for $7 and $12 is too low, then it is.  You know how much work you put into those pieces and you know you're skill level in making your product.  Your skill level is a result of all the previous pieces you've made...the more you make, the better you get, the better skilled you are.  And if you're items are One of a Kind, then their value should be higher...because they are not mass produced and not everyone will have one.

Here's a general formula for pricing handmade items:

Materials + Labour + Overhead + Profit = Retail price
(you can determine what percentage of profit to add into the equation)

Good luck

Thank you. I did put some of my items at higher prices. I went to that store and kind of was in shock when I saw the prices. They had very few beads on the necklace or bracelets and the prices bowled me over. A pair of earrings that weren't (as pretty as mine) had just 2 - 3 beads and a regular earring fish hook. The price was almost $100. I am not going to set my prices that high, but I now know that my skill and the beads are worth more than what I have been setting them at.

Thank you all so much. I just need to make a sale and that would make my day. I'm going to be having my left thumb operated on so I am trying to make lots of stuff before the surgery so I can hopefully sell so stuff.

Thanks again so much. Does the wording and such seem ok also?
