Hi everyone!

My name is Donna Bell.

I just opened up my shop today.

I make paper tole (3D) cards.

At my shop I have Halloween and Thanksgiving themed cards.

In a couple of months I will be updating with some Christmas and New Year's cards.

Come by my shop and tell me what you think.

The name of my shop is Spotted Paw Creations.

Hi Donna,

Welcome to icraft.  Your cards are very interesting.  I would guess that it's not too early to start adding Christmas themed cards into your shop now.

I am making some Christmas tags and will have them on sometime next week.  I will put on some Christmas cards after the Canadian Thanksgiving.

I believe Twitter has been discussed in the "bootcamp" forums here.  If you replacement you might find something useful if you are new to it.  (I don't use Facebook or Tweet myself.)

Hey Spotted Paws!  Sounds like you are really launching into the Christmas season!!!  I just finished 41 Christmas stockings for some shows that I have coming up along with a heap of decorative pillows too.

By the way, I use twitter a lot too, not so much Facebook, to promote my work and it has brought me business.  It doesn't come overnight but is worth the investment of time.

List lots, and frequently, as Google likes to see new content.  The more new stuff that Google finds, the more frequently it visits your site which helps to put you on the top (or near the top) of the heap in your product category.

Make your store Google friendly! Keywords and  SEO are things that you should read up on in the forums and in the Bootcamps.

Let us know how you make out at the Christmas events and share your best tips as I'm new to them too! Smiley Smiley Smiley

Cheers
Christine

Thank you everyone for your advice and encouragement.  I am planing on putting more items in my store this week.  This is such a busy time of year.  I will have to write in my day planer a day and time to add at least one item every week.  In the new year I am going to start a blog.

Today I forced myself to sit at the computer and put on a new listing!  Lots more cards to come.  Will try to put on one a day for a while.

Just had my first craft show on Saturday! I sold 25 cards and 57 gift tags! I also had lots of really great comments. A lot of people are sending the cards to family and friends over seas.

Had my second craft sale today.  Not as good as the first one. The weather was not the greatest today in Wasaga Beach.  I sold 14 cards and 17 tags.

Hi,
I'm also really liking your 3D cards. I'm thinking we should try to put a little promotional piece together for all the iCraft card makers.

If I put together a little template that has room for pictures and a few bio questions, would you be interested in being showcased?

Thanks,
Denis

No problemo Smiley
I'm starting to put some bio questions and a design layout together. If you think of some things that might be good for showcasing your products, as well as yourself of course Smiley , keep them in mind and we can include them in the design.

Thanks and have a wonderful holiday!

St. Patrick's Day cards now for sale.  Easter cards coming soon.

I am also thinking about expanding into some art pieces.  I did a piece for a local art show and I had a lot of fun creating it.

Saw your art piece and it was wonderful! I think you should do more of those too. Of course I also love the cards.

Thank you, dragonkaty!

I am currently working on another art piece that has nine 8 x 10 parts to it.  I have no idea when it will be finished.  It is low on my to do list. I might not even sell it if I love how it looks hanging in my house.
