Live links in our profile

I would like to have live links in my profile ~ such as facebook fan page or twitter.
Any chance of this happening in the near future?

We had those links, as part of the Exhibit, before and then removed them for a few reasons:

1. We want users to stay focused on the shopping process and don't get them distracted and wonder off the site by clicking on someone's Facebook link etc.

2. Usability testing, that we’ve conducted at that time, revealed that users had very little interest in any of the additional links, posted in the profile. A few times when they clicked on those links out of curiosity, they closed those pages almost immediately.

3. External links leak Page Rank (unless implemented in a special, but not ideal way), and since it looks like Google is not going to support "nofollow" attribute for links, your Exhibit page would be losing Page Rank, which is opposite of what we are trying to achieve with SEO.

Most likely, we'll be adding those links to Creator's Community profiles e.g. On the Message Board and Blog.

Wow hadn't thought of those things which of course are hugely important!
