Gosh it has been so long since I did it but I probably did both.  They are a respectable site... so do what you have to do.  It is free also so no worries.

It will put a little graph in the bottom right hand corner of your computer and every time you go to a new site it will show you what that sites ranking is.

Google is of course #1 and icraftgifts.com today is #210,413.  I think in our first bootcamp earlier this year we were about 428,000 so you can see how icraft is growing in site rankings thanks to a lot of the work bootcampers are doing and new members and new products.

Hope that helps.

Okay...
#1.  I agree that Firefox is TONNES better than I.E.
#2.  I HATE toolbar add ons!
#3.  Sparky sounds useful, so I did get it.  It's nice!

iCraftGifts.com - 209,098
my blog on blogger - 7 - that has to be WRONG.  I don't have any readers... no comments almost ever. AHA - the tool tip says that's the rank for blogger.com Sad

Downloaded Foxfire & the little toolbar. It's fascinating!

Ensorcelled, can you say why Foxfire is better than IE? I can't see a difference, but I'll probably uninstall one or the other...

Edited yesterday's post with link to blog post.

Oh gosh, my blog is #21 million something

my etsy shop ranked #384
my artfire shop ranked #10,972
my icraft shop ranked #207,937

Or are those reflections of the main site itself?

Those are reflections of the main site.

Z, I like firefox because I.E. randomly stops responding when I have many tabs open, which I ALWAYS do.  I also have problems using google with I.E.  It would tell me I'm not connected to the internet, and yet I can access my internet email fine.  I just find I.E. extremely unreliable.

I'm not sure what your numbers represent Weezi.

Alexa ranking is ranking according to Alexa only... what I mean is the numbers are not necessarily absolute.

These numbers give you an idea of how popular a site is.

Example... I have been approached by several blogs to do a giveaway.
One had an Alexa number of say 697,900 and the other had an awesome number of 125,000.  so I know I want to go with the later one as I know that I will get more exposure.

Also, I have watched icraft go from over 400,000 in the spring to almost 200,000 this week.  So we can see that our site is improving in traffic.

Alexa has lots of other information but your Alexa graph at the bottom of your screen is something I must use at least 100 times a day... every site I go to I look to see what Alexa ranking it has.

Cheers

Hi Weezi,

On Alexa site when you hover over green or red arrows beside those numbers, you'll get explanation of what they mean.

A negative change of -3,280,146 in Traffic Rank Change column is actually a good number. It means that you are that much more popular now. Your ranking improved quite a bit within a month period. I wonder if Bootcamp activities had anything to do with it. You should check your Google Analytics stats and see where your traffic is coming from.  Cheers!
