Day 2 Assignment Monday Nov. 2

Yesterday was a chance for us all to get a little personal with each other so that we can better envision who we are talking to. For today’s assignment, I want you to imagine that you and I are standing in front of a TV camera and I hand you a mike so that you can answer the following questions.

Tell us about yourself…bio 150-200 words
Tell us about your  shop.
How did you get started?
What is your favorite item in you shop (attach link please)
What’s your favourite _____________ that you have ever made
Whats you most memorable sale.
Where do you find inspiration for your designs?
Tell us about a favorite designer.
What's your favorite color .
What's your favorite room at home? Why is it your favorite?
Do you have a (your product) tip you'd like to share with readers?
What are your (upto 5) favorite blogs or website? (outside yours or icraft)? -
What are your (upto 5) favorite magazine(s), and or book(s).
What do you do to relax and unwind?
These questions may look a little daunting at first but answer as many as you can.

What’s the point of this assignment? Icraft will soon be setting up a new blog. We will be needing material. Wouldn’t it be great to be interviewed and be published on our front page? Or you may be featured by another blogger.  Why not send in your interview questions to your community newspaper or local TV Channel? Be ready!

By the way, I was interviewed by “Snowbell Jewelry”… http://bit.ly/3elkKA I would be thrilled if you checked it out and left a lovely comment.

Cheers

This is a great one and can see using some of the responses in my own blog.

I know I need to be prepared with this because I stumble on my words when someone asks me about "me." I need to get my thoughts organized.

This assignment will also help us discover our style, if we are uncertain about that, and aid in developing our business or self, as a brand!

Thanks Christine!

Forward, march! (Sorry, I'm really into the Boot Camp theme, lol. I'm a martial Aries, so it's my nature to be a bit militaristic!)

I interview other artisans, and publish it to my blog every Friday

A few weeks back, the Etsybloggers Carnival was to tell about yourself, or something like that, so I interviewed myself!  I was so used to the questions, it wasn't that difficult...   But this!  These are Huh I'm not familiar with!  Golly!  To talk about myself!

I've gotta write these down!  See ya on the other side  {:-Deb

Lol... Storybeader... you're funny. You are a good writer. Just shy.

I am sure you will do just fine.

If you get stuck... just write down what you can. Creative writers like me can embellish and sculpt a good story just start with a few good bits!

Cheers Christine

I need to develop a profile that isn't so dry.  I can see where these questions will help me to iron out the wrinkles and add personality and a brand to my profile and store.   Thanks so much!

Hello! I am not sure if this is the proper place to reply for the 2nd day assign't.
I am a newbie to I.Craft as well as to "boot camp"
Sorry if this is the wrong place or I have done this incorrectly...

Tell us about yourself…bio 150-200 words:
My name is is Lisa.
I am born and raised in London Ontario.
Graduate of Fanshawe College Fashion design programme 1989.
I have a line of clothing called "Weezi" that I have been sewing since 1989.
I have decided that in order to really make things progress the way I need them to...I need to establish an online presence and grow a following thru my wep page. London is too conservative and won't do for me what I need it to.

I am not sure how to go about this...time is short as it is and as much as I need to do it, I am overwhelmed by what is ahead.

I love to sew and create...nothing makes me happier.

I detest big box ,corporate fashion. I have little use for mall fashion or mall mentality. I am afraid of what "mall culture" is doing is to us and our priorities.

I am a cat fanatic. I luv to go thrifting and I cannot cook to save my life.
****
Tell us about your shop.

I sew one of kind bags and totes. I make clothing in limited runs. One  or up to 5 of a kind. It is very colourful and fun...for grown ups.
I try and design clothing that is feminie and fun for functional on many levels. I luv to make retro inspired dresses..combine vintage patterns etc.
I sewing everything on my own.
***

How did you get started?
I started selling in consignment shoppes allover Ontario after college and I worked with a dressmaker for 6 years.
***

***

Whats you most memorable sale.

***

Vintage  and retro book, patterns, magazines...photos on line, anything I can get my hands on that has a vintage or retro influence.
****
Tell us about a favorite designer.
Mary Quart. A woman ahead of her time and fearless with her imagination.
She is a true original. Vivien Westwood is close behind. I admire designers who go over the top.
***

Dry Profiles?

Try and answer the questions the best as you can... even if it is in point form.  Then send it to me. I'll see if I can inject some sparkle.

Some days i am a VERY creative writer... remember you are talking to the lady that converses with pillows and pillow fairies... AND THEY ANSWER BACK.

Cheers Christine

Don't worry about falling behind... you will have the weekend to catch up on loose ends and it will be a light assignment tonight.

I appreciate knowing how everyone is doing with pace.

Keep the comments coming!!!

And for all dear husbands that cook... bless their heart!!! Mine is such a sweetie as I don't cook much either :)e to spend time hanging out in a kitchen.... Did I mention I replaced my appliances with vending machines.

LOLOLOLOL.... I wish.
