Work by David Scopick and Lim Young Kyun
The Korean Consulate of the Republic of Korea hosts a joint exhibition of work by Professor David Scopick and Lim Young Kyun from October 26 to 30, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
Alone and Lost
David Scopick
David Scopick presents a series of new photographic works from international locations. The majority of his images were photographed with a panoramic camera displaying a 140 degree angle of view.
Scopick’s photographs explore the experience of isolation and the constant sensation of being lost in the world. These images hold a desolate, mysterious vision, with a surreal degree of intimacy.
Destiny, Photography as Karma
Lim Young Kyun
Professor Lim Young Kyun’s work questions “Is photography for life, or life for photography? My photography is a diary of destined moments that are still to be experienced in the future.” Lim photographs as if he were a writer… who looks straight ahead yet says things about his subjects indirectly, with quiet curiosity.
