Handmade Store: The Backyard Bear

I've been sewing, building, and designing since I was little. My father, a carpenter taught me how to construct buildings and to make anything out of wood, especially scraps. My mother taught me how to sew and how to make things out of discarded objects. I had an incredible appetite to create when I was little. Reclaiming items and making them into something useful and unique is a passion I've had for years. Not knowingly I've been a "green" person all my life.

My work is functional and useful. My mittens are warm and feedback has always been positive. I sold many pairs before Christmas and I am getting orders off of those ones given for presents. My floor cloths are unique. Each is a picture for your floor. My lamps come from nature, branches worn from the constant flow of the Muskoka River. As time goes on I'll be adding more items to the store.
