I am a Texan who just happens to live in Northern California.

My Grandmother taught me to crochet when I was five years old. Bless all the Grandmother's out there who pass on their crafts. I am enamoured with the Art Deco period and Arts and Crafts. Most of my designs reflect this. As a retired Architect, I use Architectural principles in the execution of my designs.

The 'Art of Decoration' actually spans from the end of Art Nouveau to just at the 'Atomic' age. Today we call the end period of Deco 'Streamlined' design. Throughout, though, movement was the important denominator. At the beginning, florals were incorporated, at the end florals had been replaced with geometrics.
