Handmade Store: SarahMarie

Trained as an interior designer, I was working primarily on designing commercial spaces in Manhattan. I began realizing that I had little creative control when working with huge developers on high-rises, and would probably have even less control working with rich New York socialites on their apartments. Unwilling to leave New York, however, I began looking for other creative outlets and began taking classes at the New York Center for Book Arts. I had always been drawn to the process of letterpress, and fell even more in love with it after taking classes. Beautifully wrapped gifts have always been a passion of mine, and often I've spent more hours searching for the wrapping paper, card, and ribbon then I do for the gift itself! I decided I would take a risk and try my hand at a greeting card and wrapping paper company. I figured the worst that could happen is that I'd have enough inventory of products that I loved to last me a lifetime of gift-wrapping :)

All of our products are made with the environment in mind; we use tree-free paper and soy-based inks for our letterpressed cards, and our gift wrap is printed with an FSC-certified shop on 30% post-consumer recycled paper.
