Retro Rugrats is run by Maria Kirk, Mother to three, wife, humanitarian and former elementary school teacher of twelve years. We enjoy researching fashions and popular toys of the past and incorporating them into modern, updated styles. Occasionally we re-work vintage fabrics into our designs and mix and match with updated reproduction fabrics. We have a large collection of vintage patterns and catalogs dating back all the way to 1936. This large collection keeps us motivated to keep on creating and be inspired. What's old is new again!

Our tiny studio is smoke free, but we must admit we love our family dog who lives outside and is not permitted to enter the work studio. You can be assured that our products are clean and odor free. We are located in the wonderful community of Ventura, California, an eclectic beach town with loads of charm and lots of vintage style!
