The fabrics used in constructing the masks are primarily designer fabrics that have been collected over the last ten years to make birds for mobiles. Many are out of print making the masks truly one of kind. I decided to put this stash to good use by making some unique face covers.

Oh my eye! is the shop of Michael Fulkerson, designer and creator of the original Spool Sewing bird pattern and mobile. Philadelphia Magazine recently did a very nice write up about the mobiles and HipstaKatz: http://bit.ly/1cJvST7
The original mobile was featured in Philadelphia Home Magazine as a way to add "sweet pops of color" to your decor. Yep. Pretty sweet!!
