Handmade Store: Martha Marsey

I am a retired woman who has loved all kinds of needle crafts since I was 8 years old and forced to finish the crocheted lace on a pair of pillow cases before I could go out to play. Once it was not required, I wanted to learn more. My scandinavian family was more than happy to teach me. I told my two daughters to find something they loved to do, figure out a way to make a living at it and they would never feel like they were working again. They both did exactly that and when I retired, they told me it was my turn, so here I am happily making all kinds of crafts and creating patterns for others. I enjoy doing things the old fashioned way, if I need something and don't want to go out and buy it or can't find the thing I want, I design and make it. I was born in Seattle but have lived most of my life here in Pennsylvania. Sharing my designs and crafted items is a great joy to me.
