I come from multiple generations of crafters. I remember my great grandmother trying to teach me needlepoint at her summer camp on the river when I was seven. The women in my family grew up knowing it was often less expensive to make clothes and household items rather than buy them.

As the years went on, it became less financially advantageous to make your own things, yet they continued to do so.

Over the years, I went from crocheting and knitting to other pursuits such as quilting, making clothing and jewelry making. I owe my love of and passion for creating to them. Like my mother and her mother and her mother's mother before her, I have exceptionally high standards for anything I create.
