Handmade Store: Made In The Falls

I love to create. I have always entertained myself with one craft or another. When I was a little girl, I loved playing "Pioneer" with my friends. We would build our house under a big pine tree and craft all sorts of useful tools. We made pine branch brooms, leaf bowls and plates and soups out of grass and berries. We would sit for hours making clover necklaces and bracelets. We would make clothes for our Barbie dolls out of napkins and yarn or any other useful scraps we could find. And the gum wrapper chains....I don't even like gum anymore.
As I got older, my love of crafting just got stronger. I would peel apart wires from my Dad's workshop to get to the colored strands inside. I probably made hundreds of rings.
I hate to throw anything away that might be useful at some later date. I guess I'm sort of a packrat. I make t-shirt yarn and try to think of unique ways to use it. I love making candles. I haven't tried soap yet, but it's on my list!
My favorite things to make are beautiful jewelry. I started with feather and beaded earrings as a teenager. I now find most of my inspiration taking shape in bracelets. Glass beads are found in most of my work, but plastic and metal beads and charms are also used. My designs range from everyday wear to dressy statement pieces and appeal to girls and women alike.
