Handmade Store: Katsara

My two passions: Fiber and Jewelry. Motto: Nothing's complete until the wrench has been thrown in.

For 20 years my day job and entire life was consumed with my custom textile line, handwoven by my group of talented weavers in my studio, and marketed internationally to the high-end interior design trade. Managing staff, sales reps & clientele instead of spending time at my loom, I yearned to get away from my desk and back to my studio where I could once again indulge in my creative whims, using my own two hands. I made the break and I now market my creations in several venues, including Etsy and my own website, Katsarayarns.com.

About my motto and the "wrench" thing: This reflects my belief in having a bit of fun and not taking myself too seriously. To that end, I seek out the surprise or unconventional element to incorporate into each creation, something unexpected either in color, texture, material or spirit.
