Handmade Store: Joyce Geleynse

I am an award-winning professional artist living in the tiny Canadian village of Inkerman, Ontario. For many years I specialized in custom portraiture, and while I still love creating portraits, I have lately been creating a large amount of small drawings and paintings in the realism genre. Much of my work has been sold to collectors of ACEO's (Art Cards, Editions and Originals) which is a relatively new phenomenon in the art world. Many people collect these tiny works of art, for which the only rule is that they must measure the size of a trading card (2.5" by 3.5"). Since I retain the copyright to the images I create, I now have hundreds of these images to use for making prints and greeting/note cards. Besides all of this, I do a large amount of commissioned work for both local and online customers. I have five grown children and 13 grandchildren. I thank God for the gift of creating art; it's my joy and passion!
