Handmade Store: Joannas Scented Soaps

I’m Joanna from Athens, Greece.
Since I was a child I love the Beaux-arts, architecture and decoration.I adore Art Deco and Art Nouveau-Liberty-Modernism styles. I had the chance to travel a lot around Europe and visit the most important Museums. I also followed some courses in the History of the Arts.

One day Nikos, a friend of mine, a chemist with more than 25-years’ experience in cosmetics production, who owns a professional cosmetics laboratory, certified by the National Organization for Medicines, proposed to me to assist him in the decoration of soap cakes he produces. The soaps are handmade and THE BEST quality you can find in the market, made with excellent raw materials – the main ingredients are high quality natural glycerin, which moisturizes the skin and leaves a silky feeling and natural essences coming from France. I liked very much the quality of his soaps and realized that I could start making what I loved the most: decoration.

As a second step I produced gift sets with 3 small scented soaps in a clear box, very nicely decorated and sometimes with a special decorative glass or jewelry (both handmade) in the packaging.

The main idea was to offer someone the possibility to buy 2 different items in the price of one.

With that concept, we launch a new idea: soap as a decorative element.

The soap cakes are designed to look like real (sweet) cakes, while all decoration is soap as well, and they smell heavenly. A soap cake can be used as a centerpiece in a living room (when displayed on a Cake dish) and keeps the room smelling beautifully!

At the same time, if you cut a wedge to use in the shower, this would not ruin the cake as a decoration because it now just looks like someone has eaten a slice! Even more realistic!

And when you want to change the decor, you simple cut it and use it as soap.

The soap cakes are made to order and are available in different shapes, designs, colors and fragrances (orange or orange flowers, red grape, pomegranate, lemongrass, bergamot, citrus, berry, chocolate, caramel and many more).

The soap itself is beautiful to use – the lather is rich, the fragrance is lovely, and it leaves the skin feeling moisturized and very soft.

At the same time the gift sets contain 3 small luxury scented soaps and something else (jewelry, glass decorative items, Christmas charms….), which can be used separately by the receiver.
