My husband and I are both retired and needed a hobby that we could enjoy together. We created a workshop with space we could both work on craft projects together.
We share a hobby of rockhounding. We purchased a rock saw, rock tumblers, rock grinder and polishers to make cabochons.
I came across some articles about making jewelry from wire and that intrigued me. Years ago I had made wire trees and mounted them on rocks. The two hobbies seemed to fit together, wire and rocks.
We do not make all of our cabochons, but many we do.
We live in Central Michigan so many of the rocks are from Central and Upper Michigan. We also enjoy some woodcrafts and floral crafts. You may occasionally find those items on our pages.
The metals in my jewelry are Brass, Copper, Nickel Silver, Bronze and sometimes Stainless Steel or Craft wire. I have been clear coating my jewelry to keep the pieces from tarnishing and makes the jewelry hypoallergenic.
