Top 10 Tips for Sellers

We're excited to have you as part of our community. Each member is as unique as the products they create. We want to give your items the spotlight they deserve. Here are a few tips to make sure you get the most out of your experience.

  1. Setting up your Store Policies
    Before uploading your inventory, please ensure you set up your Shipping Options, Payment Methods and Returns and Refunds Policies. You can find links to all Policies on the left navigational panel under "My Account". Simply follow the instructions on the page.

  2. Customizing your Store
    You're able to include your store banner and your store avatar, your contact information, your social media places like Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Flickr or your personal blogs.
    Make sure you use an avatar that people can recognize you by. We recommend using your personal photo or one of your best product shots. 
    There are no limits to the amount of products you submit to your store, which we also call Creator Exhibit, and items will remain featured until you remove them. You also have the option of accepting requests for custom orders or commissioned work.

  3. Use Quality Photos
    Your product photos are very important. Make sure you post high-quality images, preferably professionally done or shot with a good camera. Natural lighting and white backgrounds are recommended.

    Below are image size guidelines to help you out:
    Avatar images - must be 230 x 230 px
    Page Banner - width must be 625px, height no more than 225 px
    Product Shots - Minimum width is 550 px. Ideal dimensions 860 x 694 px.
    Our system will then resize your images for their use on various pages (thumbnails, etc.)

  4. Use Product Titles
    Make sure you include main keywords that describe your product in the Product Title. It will be easier for a search engine to find them. See Wrong Keywords attract wrong traffic or don’t attract any and Choosing Right Keywords is not a Guessing Game

  5. Have Full Product Descriptions
    Include as much information for buyers as possible when describing your products (e.g. size, materials used, care instructions, etc.) Add as many keywords, as you can to ensure content is easily indexed by search engines. This also makes your page more appealing for buyers.

  6. Double Check Spelling & Grammar
    Well-written copy will make your product pages look professional, and will leave a good impression on your buyers.

    Also, please don't use all CAPS in your copy! All Caps make for bad headlines and make the text more difficult to read. On the web, all Caps are actually considered shouting.

  7. Post Accurate Information
    Make sure all your info is correct, especially your email address. That's the only way for and your buyers to communicate with you. Also, research shipping rates and decide on your Shipping and Return Policies ahead of time. It will help you avoid any misunderstandings with buyers.

  8. Don't Stress And Take Your Time
    Don't worry if your pages don't look perfect right away. You can always fix things later. Also, don't get disappointed if you don't get many page views on the first day. The traffic on the site will increase with time. Promote your products using your personalized URL (e.g., and post items frequently.

  9. Ask for a Critique
    If you want to quickly find out what others think of your store, post a request in our Exhibit Critique section. From copy writing to shipping setup, there are just so many ways to improve.

  10. Visit Our Community Pages Often
    We will keep our members informed about upcoming promotions and new site features as they occur, so check back often. Our Community pages are a great place to mingle, network, and be inspired. Enjoy amusing conversations, get advice and information, find support and have fun! You can comment on the message boards, read blogs, participate in surveys, share your photos, and more. This is your place to express yourself, and stay up to date on everything

We promote everything new and recently updated on the site.
So once you setup your store, we will bump it to the top of our store listings with the sign "New" and keep it there for the next 96 hours. So make sure you have, at least, one product posted in your store or you will miss this promotional opportunity.
