I make several of these cloths and finally decided to start writing down my patterns and share them. This one uses what I call a double-crochet 'cross-stitch' pattern. Not a very beginner pattern, but not overly difficult. It prints out to just over a page and a half with step by step instructions to make this washcloth. There are 3 pictures included in the pattern.

The pattern uses the following stitches: chain, single crochet, double crochet, the double crochet 'cross stitch' (explained in the pattern), slip stitch and has an optional reverse single crochet edging.
