This is one of my favorite weaves to do. For this simply beautiful necklace I chose jeweler's brass rings to make up the entire necklace. This base metals give it a nice, rich weight.

This necklace is designed to show off the gold leaf toggle clasp by fastening it in the front or off to one side for an asymmetrical look. It is about 18" long and sits lower on the neck than a choker does-right around the collar bone area. As always, I can make it longer or even shorten it up to choker length as desired. I also have copper and stainless steel rings which can be substituted for either of the rings in this necklace.

Since this is comprised of brass it's more likely to tarnish but it's super easy to keep nice and bright. Simply dip the piece in lemon juice for a few seconds until it brightens up. Coarse salt may be used to help scrub the piece to a brilliant shine. Then rinse and submerse it in a mixture of baking soda and water to neutralize the acid.-about 1/4 teaspoon in 1/2 cup water should do the trick. Then let dry COMPLETELY overnight or use a hair dryer to dry in between the rings and store in an airtight plastic bag with a Tarni-Tab. You're piece will come shipped in a bag with a Tarni-Tab which should be changed about every 3 months. I sell extra Tabs as well.
