I had a strand of faceted red agate beads in my studio. I had tried several times to use them in a design but nothing worked so I set them aside to wait for inspiration to strike. One day, I received an order for a necklace utilizing red beads. I took out all my red beads and began designing the customer order. I finally found a design that pleased me so I started to put all the other red beads away. The red agate beads were lying next to the red glass cubes. I was struck as to how well they looked together so I tried the combination in several designs. I finally decided on this design (#146). This design combines red river rock beads with an offset placement of three red glass cubes. Another design using the red cubes is my Cube it Red design #(193).
