Garnet is found throughout the world, and the shading/colour of the stone, tells a story of where it is from. The lighter reds, into orange/reds come from the more southern parts of Africa or Peru among other places.
Almandine Garnet, with it's deep reds and purple hues, comes from Northern Africa. This is my favorite type of garnet, and you will see it in my jewelry whenever I can find it.

I make them with .032 dead soft Sterling Silver wire, which I hand stretch, cut, bend, and then add the 6mm Garnet.
They are hung on Sterling ear wires.

Great every day, and all day earrings.
