When Cree people hold ceremonies praying for their families or getting together as a community, they sing The Bear Song to give them strength and courage to move on in their lives. In nature we supposed to have clear mind and spirit - which represented by paisleys on both sides. The little cartoon bear represents a little child, who sings a song for courage and gives thanks for life. The three looking flames on the top - are Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

This painting is created in Sam's distinguished style that features elements of nature connected by spiritual unity; bright colours, elegant lines and tiny details can fill any room with deep spiritual meaning behind the piece.
