Some might say Lia Hood started sewing out of pure necessity. She endured a year long search for modern culottes, dragged a book bag home by its broken strap, and stitched up a hole in her winter coat after a near fatal piggy back disaster. Yet anyone can see that Lia's designs have pushed beyond this desperation. She evokes lemonade sipped on front porches, lazy afternoons in fields, and the cheerful animals of a summer's day.

Using recycled vintage household textiles, each item is lovingly handmade, inviting its wearer to laugh and smile and just be friends. Lia is quite clearly addicted to creating this kind of happiness. Whenever she takes a break from her studies or her job at the local library, she finds her foot on the pedal and her head in the clouds.

The name goodmorning, morning! was taken from a schoolgirl joke about facing the day. Consequently, Lia aims to brighten the vistas of anyone who chooses to open their eyes.
