GalleriaLinda is definately a great person to follow around. Besides making awesome jewelry she has lots of good experience and direction in business planning. Her business blog is
http://indieceo.blogspot.com/ and is definately worth reading and watching for! There are lots of really strong sellers with great wisdom and encouragement here. You will see them posting in the forum here
There are a number of sellers that signed up in bootcamp with good intentions but are not participating in the daily exersizes. Unfortunately I can't keep track of those sellers and have had to drop some of our activitites involving cross promotion, free advertising and sponsor giveaways. For subsequent bootcamps I will be eliminating the sellers that don't participate so it makes for a better experience for those that do. I just need to figure out how and I really encourage any comments or suggestings on the forum here on by a Prvate Mesaage.
Sales will come for sellers that work to promote their shop and their product. Lots of sellers open stores in different venues and just "park it" hoping that buyers "fall through the front door" and buy something. I have had a seller express some real nastiness when I envited them to participate. Unfortunately they believe they have a right to park their butt in an empty store. ... we're working on changing this.
LOL... I thought it was that easy too, but it is not. Sales happen not by accident but by working. You are doing all the right things in that you are following people that you will learn lots from such as GalleriaLinda and all the other bootcampers! You are reaching out and trying so I know good things will follow!!!
You observations are very astute. I think I can speak for all sellers on the forums ... any time you need to reach out with a question your answer will come here or at least we will all learn the answer together.
You have achieved much already
Jump in where you can as some activities are a bit more advanced. I think in the fall in our next bootcamp the activities will be a little more defined as novice or advanced.
Cheers
