Good for you. I really appreciate having feedback that the assignments are doable and so quickly! Now that's impressive as i am a bit (big bit) behind.

a thought about the tweetdeck , I am doing twitter ok and following a bunch and have 150 something followers.  the tweetdeck agreement felt a bit invasive ( stating they would have access to all my files ) , like FB sometimes it just does what it wants with my address list , so I am going to opt out of that for now , I don't have too much trouble tweeting as it is. Can we say old fogey? Laura

Hey no problem. If you are managing without it then that's great.

I have tweetdeck but I like to just use the twitter page better. I did try to use Tweetdeck again earlier tonight to see if I could get used to it, but I much prefer looking at my twitter page and just following things on there more 'manually' - another old fogey Smiley

We had a thunderstorm (nasty weather here these days). Family waiting for me to go watch a bit of TV then bedtime. I'll report on the rest tomorrow.

Cheers,
Nathalie

Ya... enjoy some tv with your family.

Interesting about tweetdeck!  I find it easier but it still isn't exactly what I am looking for.

I love tweetdeck! It's so easy to RT!

I did some more replacementes on Twitter of people I'd be interested in following well over 50 I'm sure. My inbox will be full tomorrow!

I did so many tweets and RTs that I can't recall them all. But the shops are:
1.Canadian Rockies
2. Paisley Baby
3. Emmsgems

And I was signed up at Indiepublic from a while back but I always have problems logging in to my account. I guess I still have an open account because BeauMonde added me as a friend. Thank you for the adding me!

Looking forward to tomorrow's activities!

Hi all! I'm not being anti-social lately... just tired! I go to nurse my baby back to sleep and the next thing I know it's morning! Shocked

Downloaded Tweetdeck, but I'm still trying to get the hang of the regular deal (old fogey SQUARED!)... I'll keep at it...

Oh, I got a sale Cheesy..... It was from someone I know... but I guess that still counts.

I'll check out indiepublic tomorrow. Time to get back to my job replacement, etc now. Seems I didn't have enough going on in my life, so I decided to apply for jobs where I'll need to speak a language fluently, which I speak only... well, less than fluently now. So I'm CRAMMING before interview time, lol! Nothing ventured nothing gained, right?

Hey Deb... Fun to follow each other around on the web.

Hey thanks so much for all the retweets and Trish too.

I was just looking at http://twitteranalyzer.com

I have 449 followers but with all the retweets that Trish, Deb and a few other fans Smiley I had a "reach" of over 1200 people.

Interestingly I got a tweet from a designer asking if I do custom... yuppers I'm the custom girl!!! Smiley

Assuming I can colour coordinate her colour scheme it will be a very very nice order.  Yup yup yup I think I like this tweet stuff  Smiley

Everyday I tweet something relating to my jewelry.

I have been on a mission to get more followers and the Follow Friday event is a good way.

Look for #followfriday and #ff in tweets. It will have multiple tweeple listed as recommended follows.

Also, I relisted some items this week.

Added my links to directories

Am going to try more classifieds this weekend.

Is there a list of Follow Friday people or how does it work?

It is kind of ground-roots.

Go to http://www.tweetchat.com and log in with your twitter name.
Put in #followfriday or #ff - you will see how it is done. It will list only those tweets that have #followfriday in them.

If I wanted to tweet a followfriday I would tweet:

#followfriday #ff @pillowthrowdeco @naturliche @debrasdesigns @BeauMondeJewels (more up to 140 characters).

Then, others in my twit stream will click on those I listed and follow them. It is a great way to get new targeted followers if you are picky and check out the profiles like I do!

Linda, I'm just wondering what the disadvantage is of having too many/the wrong kind of followers? I just figure the more the merrier...?

The only downside is that there is a lot of chatter about things you are not interested in.

IN the beginning getting follwers is a good thing so long as they are not spamming you with getting 400 follwers a day messages.

It is easy to unfollow people by just hitting the button.

You'll learn how to find and follow people that you want to know about.

Cheers

Because, I think it is like standing in the Wal-Mart parking lot trying to sell a $18,000 necklace. That is just not my target market.

If my own twitter stream is clogged with spammers, I have less chance to interact with my target market, which is what I want to do - tweet to them, engage in short conversations.....connect in some way.

I know my target market is really working women and those who like handmade. So, I am getting rid of the clutter to include mostly those.

I started gathering handmade followers and now am starting to gather (non-handmade community) working women, business women. At least I know when I tweet, it will fall on the ears of this demographic.

Spammers are not going to be interested in jewelry - they just want numbers and could care less about any of us - that is mainly why I look at profiles first. And I find A LOT of spammers or call girl type stuff under innocent looking avatars...lol!

I don't follow back the spammers and I block the other questionable ones. Sometimes I purge my followers and unfollow those who have not followed me after months - even if they are my target market. They are "just not into me" lol!

This morning I Have 2521 followers but I am following 2732 - there is a +/- 200 difference that I hope will follow me. If not, in a month or so, I will unfollow.

Well, hope this makes sense. It is not the only way to look at it and you are not hurting anything by doing what you are doing.

Just have fun with Twitter and engage people. That is what it is all about.

Good explanation Linda!

There are programs that we'll talk about later that will help you purge the ones that are not following you and the ones that are following you that you want purged.

Go for it girl!
