Hi everyone,
Just touching base with our Creators, and wanted to get a sense of what you all thought about the Custom Order feature. Do you like the option? Are you using this feature to sell your products? Why or why not? In your past experiences, what are the pros and cons of receiving Custom Orders for your items? Let us know by replying to this post, or sending a message to Feedback@iCraftGifts.com - we appreciate your feedback!

Many of the items I sell are by custom order, so I like the option.  Customers can contact us directly from here, and that makes it easy for them.  The feature is also very clear and easy to use/understand.  What I would like to see is the same option that is not attached to an item.  Just a general one on the front page?  Customers could still have the same easy feature even if they don't want a copy of something in the gallery.  Does that make sense?

The only drawback for me is when someone wants a duplicate of something already sold, and since it's one of a kind the best I can do is make something similar.  I just try to be as clear on that point as possible, and if I can't come close, I don't offer it!

I like the custom order option for my handbags.  This way I can offer a few different styles, but my customers' options are endless because they can tell me what colors and fabrics the would like their bag made out of.

I like this option very much. Though most of my items have tended to be one-of-a-kind, I also have a number of pieces that can be made in other colors, lengths, etc. I can show the piece for sale, and still offer others that can be made more specific the buyer's needs.

I am in the process of finishing up a custom order for someone, I love the feature myself.  I am still learning the ropes on how to do custom listings etc. but so far the process has been really easy.  Cheesy

I like the idea of custom orders.  But I am like Marys Garden, about having a separate place for offering custom orders.  Many times I cannot reproduce an item in the same fabric as I have used for the one I listed. I can only make a similar item, such as a tote, in another fabric.

I have had several custom orders over the past year and I enjoy doing them for my customers.  I just finished 60 jewelry totes for favors at a bridal shower. That was great!  I started another order today but, not for as many.
